Description:

The Urban Search & Rescue Task Force Communications course is designed to meet the needs of recovery, rescue, training, or special operation types of communications. This course exceeds and covers all the material in the 32-hour FEMA All Hazards Com-T course and includes material from the COM-L course. The content in the modules covers a wide variety of material related to transmitting and receiving communications for any situation or environment the team might encounter.

The main purpose is to ensure that communication is continuous from pre-deployment, deployment, demobilization, to readiness. All times in the training modules are designed with buffers (each day has a one-hour buffer) so that time can be added or subtracted based on the students’ overall skills and comprehension.

Prerequisites:

Participants are required to bring:

BDU style pants
TF/Team/Unit/Agency Long Sleeve Shirt
Safety Boots the cover the ankle.
Belt
Safety Glasses
Optional (sunglasses)
